Welcome to The Silvia Project this post is about the beginning of this project and how and why it came to be.
I was 17 when I got my first 240sx and since then I’ve owned 4 S13s and 1 S14 which was featured in Sport Compact Car magazine a few years back for the VQ swap I did in it, which was one of the first ever in an S-chassis. However, my 3rd S-chassis was by far my favorite. A clean white S13 coupe which I put a Silvia front clip on, 350z seats, some KYB AGX’s and a nice set of imported JDM wheels. That car will always be special to me and this project is my attempt to relive the best parts of it while taking things to a whole ‘nother level
As many of us would agree the S13 and particularly the coupe body, is the most desirable of the US S-chassis available. With the recent popularity of Nissans and drift competitions it’s getting harder and harder to find a decent 240sx and even harder to find a coupe. So with the help of my wife we set out on a Craigslist search to find a diamond in the rough!
Thanks to Sarah’s diligence after a few weeks of regular searching she came across a good candidate a couple hours away. The seller said it was pretty clean, no real damage to the body, interior was all there but the motor had some issues.
